Step 1 - choose a field of study
Check whether the field of study you want to study is offered at the AGH University - the list of fields of study can be found in the Education offer section.
Compare your study programme with the study programme at the AGH University - for this check the AGH University Syllabus base.
It is important that the field of study you choose at the AGH University is consistent with your previous education.
Write to us about the field of study you want to transfer to - we will give you contact details to the appropriate Dean of the Faculty. You can also use the SKOS employee search system.
Step 2 - contact the Dean
In the e-mail to the Dean send:

Ask the Dean of the Faculty whether transfer to the selected field of study is possible, provided that all formal requirements from the next steps are met.
The Dean of the Faculty may also ask you to send other additional documents.
Step 3 - prepare documents
If the Dean of the Faculty preliminarily agrees on your transfer, send us by e-mail the following documents:
The certificate must entitle you to apply for admission to first-cycle (Bachelor) studies at universities of any type in the country where the said document was issued.
Documents confirming knowledge of the language of study are listed in the section Required documents.
If you do not have a document confirming your knowledge of the language of study, the University may organize an online language exam for you. Write us if you would like to take part in the exam.
The above data must be consistent with your identity document (passport).

After verification, we will send your documents to the Faculty Dean's Office.
Step 4 - register for studies
Your transfer procedure will be continued by the Faculty Dean's Office.
Contact the Dean's Office to request a visa document if you need it. Also ask about the payment for a student ID card, tuition fee and the bank account number to which it should be paid.
When registering for studies at the Faculty Dean's Office (after arriving in Poland), bring the originals of the following documents:
Also prepare a scan of your photo for your student ID.
If you are under 18 years old, read the rules of registration of underage candidates.
If during registration you receive a medical referral, make an appointment at the Occupational Medicine Center. You can find the address on the website of the Occupational Health and Safety Section. Take the referral issued by the AGH University with you for the examination.
After the examination, you will receive a medical certificate. Take it to the Faculty Dean's Office - within the deadline specified by the Faculty Dean's Office.
Decision of the Education Superintendent
If you have the secondary school leaving certificate issued outside the EU/EFTA/OECD country or your certificate is not included in an international agreement, bring the decision of the Education Superintendent regarding the recognition of the certificate as a document confirming secondary education in Poland and the right to continue education.

Legalisation / apostille to the secondary school leaving certificate
If you have a Polish secondary school leaving certificate (“świadectwo dojrzałości”), European Baccalaureate Certificate or International Baccalaureate Diploma – you don’t need to have legalization/apostille.
Check below, if you need legalization or apostille.
Your document needs to have an apostille, if it was issued in a country that is party to the Hague Convention. Check:

Your document needs to be legalized in the embassy/consulate if it was issued in a country that is not a party to the Hague Convention - that is, in a country not included in the above list.

The University does not participate in the procedure of obtaining an apostille/legalization.
Remember that the process of obtaining apostille/legalization may take time, so start the procedure early enough, taking into account transfer deadlines.
